Back in March, before COVID isolation hit, I photographed a few rooms of Georgie Postlethwaite’s house. Georgie is the mastermind behind the business Interiors Designed.
We photographed her gorgeous green kitchen where she used Little Greene ‘Pleat’ on the cabinets and Little Greene ‘Juniper Ash’ on the larder units. The handles and pulls came from Plank Hardware on Etsy and the vibrant orange chairs from Cult Furniture. I particularly love the Wild Lamp Shade she used over the kitchen island.
The downstairs shower room walls are painted in Little Greene ‘Livid’ and the terrazzo wall tiles are ‘Portico’ from Porcelain Superstore. The softly embossed floor tiles are ‘Saja’ from Best Tile. The wall lights are ‘Luxor’ from Pooky lighting. This is her husband’s bathroom so she wanted it to have a masculine feel as this is where he escapes from their three daughter’s!
She said designing her teenage daughter’s room was a labour of love as she was one of her most demanding clients! She’s opted for “Foggy Mauve’ from Dulux on the walls and ‘Quartz Pink’ from Dulux Heritage in the en-suite. The hexagonal tiles are ‘Rainbow’ from Best Tile. And the vintage 1950’s rocking chair has been reupholstered in ‘Botany’ from Clarke & Clarke. She’s mixed vintage pieces with newer buys to get a youthful yet sophisticated aesthetic.
